Ryan, yeah that rumor got started way back when Chaffetz was running Gov Huntsman's campaign in order to discredit him. It's totally untrue. If there were anything to it, don't you think at some point it would have been printed in its entirety by now? The former Leavitt staffer that got paid by Cannon and created www.thetruthaboutjason.com originally restarted this rumor right after the convention as part of a whisper campaign to once again discredit Jason. James, also an alleged Cannon staffer keeps repeating this in the hope that it will plant enough questions in people's minds that they will vote for the Democrat this fall (or so I suppose that's his motivation at this point).

Rapid Response Team, I'm not saying I don't like Jason, I'm just saying that I have my reservations. I'll keep up my reading and if I get the chance to meet him again, I'll have a number of questions to ask. I've heard the SL Trib is sitting on a story regarding some of his past business dealings at NuSkin. I hope none of the details I've heard are true.

Karli, you made me chuckle with your comment. Not only was Jason in the parade, he eschewed the usual politicians role of sitting in the car waving at the crowd. Instead he ran back and forth on both sides of the street shaking people's hands. One of my fellow parade participants commented "Oh, that's what it means to 'run' for congress!"

Ryan, if you are still unsure of Jason and his message, you should take the time to get to know him as a person and a candidate. If you'd like, at his next public event, I can arrange to have you meet him.
