Last Valentine's day sucked. I worked my butt off all day just to try and get off early, stop by the flower shop, and try and find a babysitter so we could go out together. I ended up getting off late, waiting forever in the flower shop line and couldn't get a babysitter.
This year we decided to stay home, order Cafe Rio and watch a movie. Low key, no pressure, tons of fun. It was nice to just enjoy a night together without all the pomp and circumstance of Valentines Day. It was nice to just hang out with Kara.
Kara and I met in '95 and we connected so well so easily. I didn't think much of it at the time, but as the years have gone by I realize how unusual that is. After all these years, marriage has come so easily and naturally. We get along great. I've been so lucky to marry my best friend. I married way out of my league. I'm grateful every day for the relationship we have, for Kara putting up with me, for putting up with my job, for her great sense of humor, and for her willingness to sacrifice to stay home and raise our children.
To sum it up, I'm a lucky guy. I LOVE YOU Kara!!
