Recently Jared and I flew out to California to visit Blake. No kids, no women, just the guys hanging out for a couple of days. We flew into Burbank went to a great Brazilian steakhouse and then stopped by the Griffith Observatory for great views of L.A.
The next day we went for a hike in the park (I was impressed with the public parks and trails in the area--I had no idea). We saw a rattlesnake (closer than I was comfortable with), watched Jared try and catch a lizard, and remembered the old days...there were a lot of stories from Jared's days as a high school janitor that I had never heard before (if I knew you were that hard up for food I would have left a bag of chips in strategic locations throughout the school).
Blake made us killer french toast the next morning with restaurant like presentation. I should have taken a picture.
Anyway great weekend, good food, good friends, and good time catching up with each other. Thanks guys!
